Cherry Blossom

So Jennifer and I are far from being seasoned Washington D.C. visitors.  But my Dad and stepmom came up and we all thought it would be a good time to go to D.C. for the cherry blossom festival.  Boy were we in for a surprise.

We failed to get the memo that every living soul within an hour of D.C. usually came to D.C. for the opening day of the Cherry Blossom Festival.  But it was toooo late.  We came up out of the Smithsonian metro stop and could barely get off of the escalator.  It was incredible!  Sooo many people and sooo many kites!

We had a great time though.  The trees were incredible!  It almosts looks like snow in the pictures!
